City of Toronto All Events http://ift.tt/1ryEZPg Documenting American life in all its startling complexity and diversity, the photographers and filmmakers featured in the AGO's latest exhibition present compelling images of individuals and communities on the perceived margins of society. Featuring over 200 works, the exhibition includes photographs by Diane Arbus, Garry Winogrand, Danny Lyon, Nan Goldin, the anonymous visitors of Casa Susanna and experimental films by Kenneth Anger, Marie Menken, Shirley Clarke, Robert Frank and Alfred Leslie. These images portray musicians, protesters, cross-dressers, bike gangs, politicians and socialites, individuals both at odds and united, against a backdrop of rapid social change.
