Bold colours are used to tantalize and repel - resembling neurons that fire like neon lights as viewers cycle through headlines, listicles, and infinite scrolls. Fluctuating between various styles of painting, Pelc-McArthur unsettles the boundaries of figuration and abstraction to articulate the feelings of ‘sensory overload' that are derived from the consumption of digital information.

A moving and heartfelt play, Pyaasa illustrates with subtlety and nuanced truth the inequities and injustices that persist through the Indian caste system. But it also speaks to us about the inequities and injustices that are all around us here in our own community.

Combining dramatic narrative with spiritual meditation, this spellbinding sequence of seven adagio movements, inspired by the four gospel accounts of the Crucifixion, is justly regarded as one of his masterpieces.

City of Toronto All Events http://ift.tt/1oLK2uz “Broadsway” was born when the ladies found themselves together on stage one night and discovered their mutual love of Broadway music. Julie and Heather (also host of “Wake Up … “ on JAZZ.FM91) are both acclaimed Jazz performers, and Diane is a Dora Mavor Moore Award nominated Music Director, pianist and arranger. Their combined experience brings together the classic sounds of Broadway music, the improvisation of Jazz, a pop sensibility, and their unique senses of humour. They truly are three broads, doing it their own way … hence, “Broadsway”.
