Clarinetist Michael Westwood will join forces with the orchestra performing Ian McDougal's "Clarinet concerto" under the direction of maestro John Palmer. The program will also feature the world premiere of a new composition by Toronto based composer Frank Horvat and a "Suite of Latin Dances" by John Palmer who is also the conductor for this event. Michael Westwood holds a Master's degree in clarinet performance from the University of Toronto. A product of the studio of the late great clarinet pedagogue and master Avrahm Galper, Michael Westwood has collaborated with a great number of leading Canadian classical musicians over the past two decades.
