The book features eight neighbourhood walks, with maps and brief biographies of more than 80 women past and present in the life of Toronto. Women contributed in many areas: politics, social justice, science & medicine and the arts. Some are well known but others have faded from sight. Some lived in the city all their lives; others made their mark during brief visits. Come learn about ten of these women in this fascinating talk.
