08/12/2014 Toronto Symphony Orchestra Downtown

City of Toronto All Events http://ift.tt/1sfN4Dy Just before the TSO and music director Peter Oundjian head off on a five-country European tour, they offer the city's music-lovers the chance to hear some of the fantastic music they will be taking with them. This event marks the TSO's debut in the glorious setting of Koerner Hall. It includes Rachmaninoff's final work, the surging, soulful Symphonic Dances; the rich textures of English composer Vaughan Williams' tribute to his Tudor heritage; and a colourful, emotionally intense work by Canadian composer Claude Vivier.
