City of Toronto All Events http://ift.tt/2eyh5wZ Sistahs-in-Law Retreat and Fundraiser is the annual legal conference hosted by the Black Female Lawyers Network. At the conference lawyers, articling students, and law students meet to explore issues relevant to Black women in the legal profession. In addition, attendees earn CPD credit in substantive law and professionalism hours. Funds are also raised to provide academic scholarships for potential law students. Each year 10 tickets to the conference are sponsored by lawyers, and provided to underprivileged Black female high school students who wish to pursue a career in law. A Caribbean themed lunch is served, and refreshments are available throughout the day.
