City of Toronto All Events http://ift.tt/2dfl42d Through renderings, models and sketches, large-scale photographs and video, the exhibition reveals the artistic challenge behind Siza's design of the visitor centre that includes a courtyard, auditorium and restaurant. Also on display will be architectural objects from the Alhambra's own collection such as ceramic tiles, marble capitals and carved doors, providing a glimpse into why this World Heritage Site has inspired countless artists and architects since the 14th century. Siza's extension is only the latest chapter in a history of renovations at the Alhambra, stretching back to AD 889, when the Moors first built a small fortress from the shattered remains of Roman fortifications.
