Working with oil on linen, Jodoin transports you to another time and place. A master of colour and composition, she paints intuitively, often starting each piece with a background of rich colour, and then seeing where the inspiration takes her; landscape, seascape, cityscape or still life floral. Jodoin then integrates a dramatic use of light and dark. Her work is impressionistic by nature, yet each piece has lingering abstract quality, representing the emotional and instinctual reaction we all experience when we encounter a moment for the first time.
