It showcases the most outstanding Black films while creating a space to debate cultural and socio-economic issues. The festival offers screenings, concerts, panel discussions, exhibits, workshops & opportunities to meet creators and speakers from around the world. Founded by the Fabienne Colas Foundation, TBFF is Toronto's biggest celebration of Black History Month through film! Our goal is to fill a void by providing the opportunity for filmmakers from all ethnic groups, to share authentic stories, which reflect the true reality of Black people throughout the world. Black History Month allows us all to reflect on the past in order to better understand the present and prepare for the future.
