07/10/2014 Live at Massey Hall: Basia Bulat and Destroyer Downtown $10 - $19

City of Toronto All Events http://ift.tt/1r9EuYK With her luminous vocals and heartfelt lyrics, Basia Bulat—recently named Female Artist of the Year at the SiriusXM Indie Awards—is proof that lost love can devastate but need not conquer. The electronic touches on her third album, Tall, Tall Shadow, showcase a folk artist who's always up for a challenge. Destroyer (solo) has been confounding expectations since 1995. This solo project by The New Pornographers' Dan Bejar bounces between folk, rock, jazz and chamber pop, for a complex, multilayered output that compels and fascinates crowds from clubs to Coachella.
