10/02/2014 "Chrystallizing Memory" Central West Free

City of Toronto All Events http://ift.tt/XRg9u8 Portraits of people and places are powerful triggers that bring memories of relationships to the fore and keep them alive in our imagination. Common objects like socks can become metaphors for past relationships and experiences, replete with their joy and pain. Colours, lines, shapes and patterns connect us to the world and often create powerful responses in both our hearts and minds. Memory is ultimately the thread of our lives. Nevan Ryan is a Toronto-based contemporary artist working primarily through oil painting.
